Writer trying to understand the world by telling stories.

About

I write to make sense of the world we live in. I’ve been writing my whole life.

I’m currently working on a novel - what if we were dependent on technology and devices, what happens if that goes wrong?

My bio

I learned to write on a short course at Birkbeck University’s creative writing programme. I liked everyone else’s stories so I went back each week to hear them. I realised I had to write some too, mine never seemed as good as everyone else’s but that’s the deal.

I stuck with the writing, finding time around the edges of my life and learned much more at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s MA on Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media. Then I joined the Faber Academy where I learned to write a novel. I’ve met and worked with fantastic people throughout this journey and they inspire me to push harder than I would do on my own.

Since then I’ve had my work performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden’s Singing Word, been produced by The Factory Theatre Company, been part of London Sinfonietta’s Blue Touchpaper programme and, this year, long listed for The London Library’s Emerging Writer’s programme.
